Design, Content, and Doing the Work Right

We’re not here to chase keywords or write hot takes.
This blog exists for the same reason Kleur does: to cut through the noise. To share how we think, what we see, and how we approach design and production when the goal isn’t just to “look good,” but to actually work.

Kleur was founded in Portland, Oregon, and Chicago by Decater Collins and Artem Ponomarev. After years working with brands like GM, AWS, Fiat, and a long list of cannabis pioneers, they built Kleur to fix what was broken: the way companies approach design and content. No middlemen. No guesswork. Just sharp, finished work built by people who actually know what you're about.
We’ve seen how most companies get their creative: piecemealed together, outsourced, watered down, and rushed out the door. That’s not what we do. We bring authorship to everything we make—whether that’s a logo, a landing page, a brand shoot, or a thirty-second animated spot. And if it doesn’t say something clearly, we don’t make it.
This blog is where we’ll talk about that approach. Not as a sales pitch. Not as thought leadership. Just as people who give a shit about what goes out the door.
We’ll share how we think about execution. Where brand identity starts and how it carries. Why direction matters, and why so much design fails.
We’re not writing to build a funnel. We’re writing because someone should say this out loud.
If you’re tired of work that feels empty—stick around. We’ll keep it sharp.
